In the latest Leaving a Legacy Designs newsletter I talked about ways to scrap quicker. One of those ways is with quickpages! I have a new set of quickpages for you today with my newest kit Got Carrots? There are 3 or more photos on each page to make scrapping those Easter photos quickly.
Have a great Friday!
Today’s tip is all about alphas! I love, love fun, funky alphas. When I was a paper scrapper I would find fun fonts, print out my titles and then cut them out with an exacto knife. I am thankful for digital now! I love finding fonts or alphas to spice up my layouts. Here are some layouts I found in the gallery for some added inspiration…
Using an alpha and layering it on an element or scatter
Mixing it with a font…
Wrapping a ribbon through the alpha
Adding an element for one of the letters
How about creating your own alpha or sticker?
You can do this by adding a stroke to your font, clipping a paper to it or even giving it a slight shadow…remember though words don’t float on real pages so very small shadow. You can also make the letters pop by adding an inner glow, changing the color of the shadows…experiment with it and have fun. CTRL Z will undo any problems unlike paper scrapping.
Also using elements for alphas…puzzle pieces, banners, balls and more
What are some of your favorite ways to use alphas? We would love to see your layouts!
I have decided to highlight my amazing team so I had them pick some of their favorite layouts among the team…here are a few that were picked.
Have a great Tuesday! Remember to upload your layouts to the Leaving a Legacy Designs gallery. I have a Gallery Standout Coupon that I like to hand out when I find new layouts.
I apologize for the lack of posting last weekend. I had a bad case of insomnia on Friday night/Saturday morning then a major migraine on Saturday. I am enough of a wuss that a migraine makes me bed ridden so I slept my Saturday away. I did get some scrapping done this week…
First off is my Week 14 layout using Celebrate You!
Next up I used Game On by Chelle of Chelle’s Creations and a template by Queen Wild Scraps for a mixer at Scrap Orchard
This layout was done for a speed scrap on Monday night hosted by Just for Fun Designs. I used Dream Big Designs Into the Wild

Have a great Easter Weekend!
Happy Thursday! To eliminate the crazy of having 2 Pinterest accounts (business and personal) I have started moving some of my personal pins over to my business page. One of my favorite boards is Recipes! I love trying new recipes and Pinterest is endless on suggestions. Here are a few I have pinned, created and loved!
First up is Sloppy Joe cups! We have only made this one once so I wouldn’t say love, but liked. I have an old church cook book from my grandmother that has a recipe for Sloppy Joes so I use that instead of the sauce. You can see my layout here where I made just sloppy joes. I also left off the cheese on mine (personal choice)
Sesame Chicken and rice is next one. It is glutten free (or can be) and yummy! We have made this quite a bit and it is a family favorite.
Again another yummy chicken recipe: Garlic Chicken
The last one I am going to share with you is Sour Cream Noodle bake! I was making this almost weekly but we got burnt out on it so it is a little less often.
Team member Becki has a board of recipes she has tried here.
I picked a couple that I would like to give a try:
Brownie mix over oreos and cookie dough…how can you go wrong?? YUM!
Weeknight Ravioli Bake! I have tried something like this and it is yummy! It makes a lot too so there are plenty for leftovers!
Apple Enchiladas! Serve with ice cream, Yum!!
Do you have a favorite recipe pinned on Pinterest? Share it in the comments or on Facebook. I guess with all these fun recipes I should make a kit to go along with it? Would you use it? Share your thoughts. Be sure to check out the rest of my Pinterest boards here. I will be back tomorrow with my newest kit: Got Carrots? and a freebie!
